EDC was very pleased to get an invite to exhibit at the Futuresource Conference 2009. The Futuresource Exhibition is the largest event for the sustainability sector in Europe. The 2009 event was held at the ExCeL Exhibition Centre in London from the 9th - 11th June 2009.
The event showcased the latest products and services encompassing all areas of waste, resources management and sustainability. The exhibition attracted significant number of buyers and visitors from the UK and overseas.
EDC was invited to participate as an exhibitor on the Welsh Assembly Government (WAG) stand. Other Welsh organizations that participated (at the WAG stand) included: Cylch, Waste Awareness Wales, the Welsh Local Government Association, the Wales Waste and Resources Research Centre (WWREC), WRAP Wales, Envirowise Wales, Constructing Excellence Wales, AD Centre of Excellence for Wales and Environment Agency Wales. This year the WAG promoted the consultation of the new draft Waste Strategy.
Dr. Sohail Hajatdoost, EDC’s Head of Business Development who attended the exhibition commented: “EDC received many enquiries about ecodesign and it was very encouraging that there are an increasing number of companies and organisations interested in understanding the benefits of applying ecodesign.”
Alongside the exhibition there were a number of very interesting presentations to about the latest developments in sustainability related topics. The event also provided an excellent opportunity for networking.
